Day Hollow Animal Hospital and COVID-19

Please know that we are working to protect the health of our staff, clients, pets, and the community we serve. When you bring your pet to Day Hollow, you will see changes in how we provide care. We must all deal with how to stay safe and live with “a new normal” in the face of COVID-19. As per NYS guidance we provide "curbside service", enhanced cleaning protocols, and staff wear face coverings throughout the day while washing hands much more frequently in the old normal.   We hope soon to be able to have clients back in the hospital with their pets!  We appreciate the patience and support of all who come to our hospital.

• "Curbside Service" for your pets visit:   Call  the hospital from your cell phone upon arrival. The phone number is on the numbered parking spot.  If you do not have a cell phone, knock on the front window and we will come to you.  Our staff will get information and receive your pet from the parking lot.  After the Doctor examines your pet, he/she will call and discuss care needs and plan.  Treatments will be done and then your pet will be returned to you in the parking lot.  We will take your payment by phone with hopes  credit card or care credit is possible.  If not the staff will receive your cash or check.  We are committed to making your pet's visit the very best it can be.  
• If you are sick:  please reschedule your pet's preventative care appointment.  If your pet is sick and you are sick, have someone else attend the appointment while you remain available by phone.  If this is not possible, please call ahead and know that we will take extra precautions to assure safety for all (mask, gown, gloves). 
• Medications, diets, refills:  We encourage you to try our online pharmacy.  They will deliver right to your door with products that you can be assured of quality.  Access from this website.  As always medications and preventatives are available from Day Hollow - call ahead, we will ask for credit card payment during that call.  The medications will then be placed just inside the front entrance (foyer) for you to pick up.  
• Euthanasia and special circumstances: One family member will be present with your pet.  You will need to wear a mask, sanitize your hands before entering and at end of appointment, avoid touching surfaces and maintain physical distance.  One adult accompanies pet through appointment. Only one person in the reception area at a time.

Behavior Barn (BB): The Behavior Barn is open. Daycare, Training classes and puppy playtime will resume as normal. We ask that if you are sick, please refrain from attending our activities.

• When dropping off or picking up for daycare, we ask that you go to the left of the BB to our fenced in area. Please observe the cones for social distancing.
• Training classes will be held outside, if the weather is nice or held in our new barn area with a maximum of 5 people per class.
• Puppy Playtime will also be held outside, rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.

 Dog Training Program with Ashley Lassila - multiple levels of group dog training classes including AKC STAR Puppy certification, AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick dog titles. Also offering doggy daycare on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday's from 9 am to 5 pm

Ashley is a certified dog trainer who has been with The Behavior Barn for several years operating our Doggy Daycare Program. Through her experience she has developed skills in reading dog body language. She practices teaching good manners in a multiple dog setting. Ashley's teaching methods will unlock your dog's potential, encouraging them to make good decisions in all situations.
